About Our Company

John Willcox began his life insurance career in London in 1965. From England he returned to South Africa's dynamic insurance industry, which, among other innovations, created the world's first variable life insurance policy. In 1984 John and his family moved to Texas where he founded Sussman Willcox and Partners.

John has lived in Wimberley, TX for the past 25 years.

In early 2004 John Willcox and Drew Watson created Watson Willcox, headquartered in Wimberley, TX with offices in San Antonio.

Drew Watson brings complete life insurance knowledge and Texas roots to Watson Willcox.

After graduating from Baylor, Drew started the Austin branch of a San Antonio firm, Watson, Mazur, Bennett & Straus, L.L.C., making him one of the state's youngest owners of a life insurance practice.

Drew is a life-long Texan. He lives in Boerne with his wife, son and daughter.

Sally Marr has 30 years of experience in the insurance and benefit fields and is uniquely qualified as a benefit analyst and underwriter.

Albert Mills is a Rice University business administration graduate who has worked with John and Sally for the past 15 years providing client services in all our areas of expertise.
